THE ARCHITECTS AND THE CONTRACT OF QUALITY
4.12.09
For meetings, IN-CUBO will be prepared;
an installation created by C. Toson for the Area Declic stand
and fitted out with the Maxò armchair
What are the required characteristics for entering the high-level contract market? How do you enter a market that seeks quality and pays accordingly? How do you satisfy the interior designers? How can Italian companies in general - that manufacture at Italian costs - sustain a price that is higher than for similar articles produced in countries like China or Indonesia?
These are some of the questions to which the architect Carlo Toson of AArchitects responded on Friday 4th December at 5pm in our headquarters in Via A. Volta in Manzano (UD).
Active on the international scene, Toson has gained 25 years of experience in hospitality design, by which is meant the widest sense of the word, from traditional hotels to the concept, as pioneer in Italy, of the "widespread hotel". Among his works: the renovation of various hotels in Italy, but also in the Canary Isles, in Russia and the Middle East and some banks in Vienna and Moscow. He has not disdained incursions into the residential sector, designing private villas and apartments, and in the public sector: the chair lift that runs to Monte Lussari from Camporosso (Tarvisio, Udine) is his design.
| The meeting is the first in the TAVOLA QUADRA programme, where some noted personalities from the world of architecture and design, but also of economics and art, will be present to debate subjects of specific interest with Area Declic. |
